Saturday June 12, Faraday’s  Kitchen Store in Lakeway hosted  celebrity television chef and cookbook author  Sara Moulton’s  book signing event. This was the only Texas appearance of the book tour for her new book, “Sara Moulton’s Everyday Family Dinners”

The kitchen store was crowded with  fans and followers of Sara, people who have been seeing her on Food network; people who have been cooking with her recipes over the years; and people who of course wanted an autographed copy of Sara’s new book.

Sara Moulton is the  host of Sara’s Weeknight Meals on PBS, was chef of the executive dining room at Gourmet Magazine, and hosted Cooking Live, Cooking Live Primetime and Sara’s Secrets on the Food Network for 10 years. Besides this Sara is the author of Sara Moulton Cooks at Home (2002), Sara’s Secrets for Weeknight Meals (2005) andSara Moulton’s Everyday Family Dinners (2010).

A friendly personality, package of energy, a simple, down to earth individual inspite of her celebrity status, Sara Moulton  conducted a live cooking demonstration  while   narrating episodes of her life and interacting with the audience.  She made recipes from her new book Polenta Lasagne and the warm Chocolate Cheese Cake, also involving couple of kids from the audience to work with her.

Everybody in the audience got to taste the delicious food she prepared in the cooking demo  while watching her cook . She shared her personal experience about few cooking utensils and   also recounted Julia Childs quote which I liked, “Don’t apologize for what you cooked, if it didn’t turn out as it supposed to have, just reposition it” 😉

The sponsors of her book tour Chantal also gave couple of give ways for the event. Followed by which Sara signed the copies of her new book.

She is coming  back to live TV again “ Sara’s Weeknight Meals” is based on her cookbook, Sara’s Secrets for Weeknight Meals.  The series is made up of 20 shows with some shows also featuring  guests like Madhur Jaffrey, Jasper White, Andrew Carmelini, Roberto Santibanez, Corinne Trang, and Michael Psilakis.

Our best wishes for Sara in her new endeavors.
