Mozart’s is not just a coffee shop, it’s a perfect place to enjoy the aromatic smells of coffee besides the rush of caffeine and pleasures of delicious deserts in a beautiful ambiance. It’s a cozy environment to spend a weekend afternoon with friends; a peaceful atmosphere to work in mornings with coffee, laptop & complimentary wi-fi; great scene to chill after dinner for coffee and dessert; a scenic setting to watch the sunset in Lake Austin; fun locale to be on weekend nights with live music; its many things to many people…….it’s a happening place!
Mozart’s Cafe is one of Austin’s famous landmarks; on the list of must see & do things in Austin; and just a place to go to, if we want to do something! Over the years, we have not needed reasons to go to this place; we just end up there often.
The place attracts an interesting kind of crowd, the university kids, trendy youth, older Austinite’s, the artsy folk, the celebrities, the techs, the geeks, the intellectuals, the writers, the musically inclined, the fun lovers, the romantics, the teenagers, families with little ones, large groups of friends and families, women and men of various ages, … the place is simply appealing with its stimulating and refreshing ambiance with great outdoor and indoor seating. If you are an ‘Austinite’, and haven’t been to Mozart’s, then you haven’t seen Austin.
The Coffee is fresh with strong aromatic flavor. The place boasts an in-house roaster with specialty and gourmet coffees. I may have had all their warm beverages, and can recommend them all. Be it the Bottomless Coffee, Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino, Mocha, Mozart’s Mocha, Cafe Au Lait, Hot Cocoa, Hot Tea or Steamers, all are excellent. My kids especially love their Steamers and Hot Cocoa. Their cold drinks like Mochaccino’s, Frappes and Smoothies with the seasonal fruits are equally refreshing. Lastly the desserts here are delectable with our favorites being their carrot cake, brownies and cheese cakes. These are wonderfully decadent.
Like I said, anytime is good time for coffee at Mozart’s, but in holiday season, it’s also lighted up and has light shows by the hour. I see myself seated on their outdoor deck overlooking the lake, enjoying a starry cold night in conversation with family, drinking coffee and hot cocoa with decadent carrot cake and brownies. This is one of the many beautiful memories I have had at Mozart’s, and have plans for many more…
