Pear Salsa

Salsa is mix or medley of fresh ingredients, either fruit or vegetables in raw form, making a refreshing and delicious fusion. So, whatever fruit you have growing in your backyards in the season, enjoy it in all forms, especially in the form of salsa. Pear salsa makes a delicious snack eaten with tortilla chips and without realizing you would have eaten way beyond your minimum daily portion of fruit for the day!

Pear Salsa

Ingredients

  • Pears- 4 to 5 chopped.
  • Red Onion – 1 medium, chopped.
  • Jalapeno peppers -2, chopped.
  • Lemon juice -2 Tablespoons
  • Cilantro- 2 to 3 Tablespoons, chopped.
  • Honey- 2 to 3 Tablespoons
  • Salt- to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the pear in half and scoop out the core of the fruit with seeds.
  2. Chop the fruit to small pieces so that the salsa has bite sizes of the fruit with other flavors.
  3. Cut fresh lemon and sprinkle the juice on the pears so that the fruit doesn’t brown.
  4. Chop the red onion, jalapeño peppers, and cilantro and bring together in a bowl.
  5. Add salt and honey to the chopped fruits and vegetables and unify this fusion.
  6. Enjoy with tortilla chips.
