Notes

Please pluck only the male flowers, and not all of them, leave some for pollination. The female flowers will bear the squashes or zucchinis so don’t terminate any upcoming yield of vegetables.  Picture below shows male flowers and female flowers to tell the difference.

The squash plants sometimes yield a lot more male blossoms till they grow strong enough to yield a female blossom and bear fruit. Factors like lack of sun, less nutrients in soil etc. could also be factors to lack of female blossoms growing. But I was told if you keep picking the male blossoms it will help trigger the plant to produce female blossoms! In the meantime enjoy the above recipe;)
