Salsa is mix or medley of fresh ingredients, either fruit or vegetables in raw form, making a refreshing and delicious fusion. So, whatever fruit you have growing in your backyards in the season, enjoy it in all forms, especially in the form of salsa. Pear salsa makes a delicious snack eaten with tortilla chips and without realizing you would have eaten way beyond your minimum daily portion of fruit for the day!
Ingredients
- Pears- 4 to 5 chopped.
- Red Onion – 1 medium, chopped.
- Jalapeno peppers -2, chopped.
- Lemon juice -2 Tablespoons
- Cilantro- 2 to 3 Tablespoons, chopped.
- Honey- 2 to 3 Tablespoons
- Salt- to taste
Instructions
- Cut the pear in half and scoop out the core of the fruit with seeds.
- Chop the fruit to small pieces so that the salsa has bite sizes of the fruit with other flavors.
- Cut fresh lemon and sprinkle the juice on the pears so that the fruit doesn’t brown.
- Chop the red onion, jalapeño peppers, and cilantro and bring together in a bowl.
- Add salt and honey to the chopped fruits and vegetables and unify this fusion.
- Enjoy with tortilla chips.
