Turmeric-Ginger Tea is a great herbal tea with curcumin and gingerol properties, helping boost immunity and fight infections.

Ingredients:
Turmeric root *– grated or pulped – ½ tsp
Ginger Root – grated or pulped- ½ tsp
Lemon juice – few drops
Honey – ½ tsp or to taste
Black Pepper**– dash ( optional)
Water – 1 cup
Method
Warm a cup of water, add all the ingredients, let it steep for a min or two, then drink warm.
If you like to drink this daily, you can make this base ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator. Mash both the ginger root and turmeric root in a mortar and pestle or a chopper and store them in a mason jar with honey. This keeps the ginger and turmeric fresh in honey for a week or two.
*If you don’t find fresh turmeric root. You can substitute it with turmeric powder.
**Adding a pinch of black pepper (piperine) to the turmeric ginger tea enhances the turmeric (curcumin) bioavailability and absorption in the body.
